 In a nutshell:

Brilliant Bihari sustenance served in a great setting by pretty warm folks -I advanced a little makeshift potbelly as I strolled out of this spot following consuming burdens of powerful nourishment.

Short Description -on the off chance that u r in a run:

Like in all different restaurants , I went by this spot in secrecy. The ascension to the 4th ground thru thin spendid shaded (bordering ostentatious) was the sole sickening part. Once up there, it was actually pleasant. I was treasuring the course in which a straightforward property has been changed over to a superb restaurant clearly without an excessive amount of consumption.

The ground broadens to both sides of the staircase. On the Dining Hall to the right, there is a bar zone. On the left side there is a minor eating region that moreover expedites an outdoors region in 3rd ground.

The ornamentation of the outdoors range is exceptional with an amazing see besides. The furniture is blend & match -no two seats around a table r the same. On the divider hang burdens of vacant edges sans pictures.

Ardor for perfection radiates -I felt this all through throughout our lunch at Potbelly. Without the enthusiasm, all things requested throughout a specific chow wouldn't be able to b synchronously great.

The staff part who was serving us was extremely warm & accommodating.

Definite portrayal -on the off chance that u have an opportunity to njoy perusing:

We began our lunch with Litti chokha & Khada masala sheep blend. For the uninitiated, Litti is an entire wheat ball stuffed with sattu (coarsely powdered Bengal gram). I have appreciated this numerous times at my companion's house & have adoreed it. The litti at Potbelly is an advanced yet super tasty form of the rural litti I have had at my associate's house.

When the litti was served, it possessed a scent reminiscent of exceptional desi ghee. The external layer of atta was layery, to a degree firm & flaky. The sattu inside was cooked before being stuffed -thus it altered shade from resplendent yellow to toffee tan. Texture in addition updated because of this.

Taste was superb & I adoreed it. Rating is 4.5/5.

The chokhas were of two kind -aloo & baingan. The aloo was produced out of bubbled potato -spiced & hottened up flawlessly. Super adoreed each spot of it. Exceptionally few folks can change the lowly aloo to something so exceptional. 5/5 on the aloo.

The baingan was smooth, non hottened, did not have added masala yet was eminent. Needs calibre to get to this stage with a vegetable. I wud give this a 4.5/5.

The khada masala lamb had entire flavors, as the name recommends. The sauce was thick, not too sleek & tasty. The meat pieces were not liquefy in the mouth however delicate enough to b agreeable. I give this a 4/5.

For the most part the score for litti chokha lamb means 4.5/5.

While we were reveling in our litti, we requested two intriguing beverages -Sattu cooler & mirch masala drink.

Sattu cooler was a slender drink produced out of sattu, with a clue of lemon, hand powdered masalas , coriander clears out. The beverage was exceptionally agreeable -It wud have been more agreeable on a smoking sunny day. Notwithstanding, the taste of sattu was overwhelmed by the other components said above. I wud give this a 3.5/5.

Mirch Masala drink was less mirchi (smoking) than I needed yet was pleasant. It was powerful than the normal banta drink. I give this a 3.5/5.

Post litti we strove for Maher -it was a spiced yoghurt based smoking rice dish served with garlic potatoes, broiled papad & pickle. This was the first occasion when I had a curd rice (that excessively sizzling) & cherished it. The ideal parity of salt, sharp & chillies donated to this. Nut decorate on the top added to the feel of the dish. At the end of the day 4.5/5

The chutney was exceptional -not too sharp yet not even either. At the end of the day all components had splendidly fallen set up.

The lowly aloo was again changed into a super dish when cooked with garlic & flavors.

For the most part -4.5/5 for this dish too.

The final dish in fundamental course was Mutton Chaap (sheep slashes). This was served with flimsy yet layered , ghee singed laccha paratha -so exceptional in taste that I consumed a considerable amount of it practically the same as that. I give it a 4.5/5.

The chaap flavor was one of the best I surmise I have had in the final 1 year -a cut above numerous colossal names & countless accepted fanciful restaurants that have been around for quite some time. The sauce was thick, impeccably cooked, the khus was making its presence felt & the flavours were immaculate. Sauce gets 5/5.

Something happened with the sheep pieces. One of the 3 pieces was immaculate -cooked with the sauce for long & subsequently the juices & flavours had arrived at the meat. The rest two appeared to have been cooked & included independently later. Excuse for why -Though they were delicate & had impeccable texture, there was no indication of the juices & flavours in the meat. Enjoyed it yet with a squeeze of salt & thus wud give the meat 4/5.

Should specify here that something amusing happened -After 45 minutes of tolerating our request for chaap, we were told that it is not ready coz somebody by misstep 'divided humble allotment of chaap left unsold. We stated OK, gave us a chance to fulfill our Maher & then we will suspect. When we fulfilled Maher, Chaap was offered to us. I surmise, in this tumult, they wud have made it like a pro in a hurry & it cud not have been improved if this was the situation.

Generally speaking the dish gets 4.5/5.

For treat we settled for Makhana kheer -I actually like thick less sweet kheer. This one was a spot slender & had a touch more sweet. I was told by my co coffee shop that this is the manner by which it more often than not is. I wud give this a 3.25/5.

I wud doubtlessly b returning to this spot. What about u?

The Pink Room | Hauz Khas Village | New Delhi

The Pink Room has to its credit a perfect location, in terms of the business the restaurant will do, and must have been doing already. Considering how commercial HKV has become, the viability of the restaurant being able to click was quite high anyways. In addition to that, when the menu and food is absolutely spot on, and has a brilliant mind behind the interiors and decor, there's no stopping this place from becoming a rage among the happening crowd.

DECOR

The decor is good, though not great for my senses. But girls are more likely to admire the excess pink everywhere accompanied by pink curtains, purple lighting, pink sofas, blue chairs, water fountains, dim lights, a mixture of low lying and normal level tables, and pink in just about everything!, which is what my lady friend did as we hopped three flights up to find a small terrace .

FOOD

Their menu is vast! They have everything included in their menu, from italian to lebanese, indian to mediterranean, mexican to thai, salads to soups, and an astonishingly huge range of cocktails, shots and drinks.

I settled for beer and my friend asked for Caipirinha. The steward was calm and distant but he must be well meaning as within minutes he was back to our table with our drinks. We asked for fish and he recommended Grilled Bassa with Scordellia potatoes and roasted vegetables. The fish was soft and flavorsome and the vegetables crunchy and juicy. Chicken Quesadillas were a portion of 4 triangular pieces of quesadillas. They had a stuffing of tomatoes, onions, mexican sauce and chicken. They were too, accompanied by 2 kinds of dips, hung curd and salsa. The quesadillas were delicious but the salsa was bad! Penne in Pink Sauce came in a decent quantity. It tasted spot on delicious! Not dry, a relief that was, and a good balance of the white and red sauce, this is one appetizing dish you should definitely not miss out on.

VERDICT

The Pink Room has earned its place because of great food combined with great interiors and ambience. The new place to be in Hauz Khas Village, its popularity is totally justified! Overall a good place, though I would say a shade expensive like most other places in the vicinity.
